As per the CMV Act & Rules a person may hold only one Driving Licence which is uniquely numbered in the National Register. Hence, DL Club option facilitates the citizen to merge the licences held by him/her into one Driving Licence. This Option could be accessed either by the Public or by the RTO Staff.

An Additional Endorsement of Driving License (AEDL) is a type of endorsement that can be issued to a driver's driving record in India. This endorsement on dl allows the driver to carry out certain jobs, such as heavy vehicle driving, that require a valid driving license.

The state government of reserves some numbers as fancy numbers. Vehicle owners cannot be allotted these numbers through the regular motor vehicle registration process. A special fee has to be paid to get a fancy registration number allotted to your vehicle.

An application for renewal shall be entertained not more than one month before the date of expiry of the licence. If the application is late for more than five years after the date of expiry of the licence, the applicant should undergo all the formalities to obtain a fresh licence.
